JTR Precision Engines 4.2L Jeep engine with a 4.0L #7120 Cylinder Head.

Jeep 4.2 Rods before disassembly, bead blasting, inspection, cap cutting, new ARP bolt installation and final sizing on the rod hone.

The seats were cut at 5 angles on the intake and 2 angles into a radius on the exhaust for higher flow and performance. The exhausts have  Durabond 30000 Series hardened seats installed for long life.

The guides were turned down for the springs used and adjusted with shims to set the proper installed height. We installed Viton positive seals on this head and used Chevy style 1.250” High Performance valve springs.

Deck has been equal parallel surfaced to the crankshaft centerline and then the bores were cut and honed.

4.2L with 4.0L Head swap engine installed in a 1989 Jeep Wrangler.

Aftermarket #330 replacement 4.0L cylinder head valve seats. These seats only have the 45 degree seat angle cut into them. This is a big performance killer out of the box.

Factory 4.0L valve cover that has been milled off the top and then painted and clear coated.

The 4.0L #7120 Head after the 1.250” SBC style springs were installed with the factory Jeep retainers to keep costs down. These heads have Viton seals.
